Like our Sea of Air
We live in a sea of SPUE much like the atmosphere here on Earth. "Gravity" does not hold the atmosphere down, it is pressed towards the Earth by sub-sub-sub-atomic stellar rain. As the Earth shields the stellar wind from below, the closer one comes towards the Earth, the greater the shielding and the stronger the NET force and the greater the atmospheric pressure.
29 May 2005 Note: The "sea of SPUE" like the "sea of air around us" is being recognized as better model then first imagined. SPUE traveling in all directions at once rarely results in a noticeable wind -- most typically a balanced pressure. Also, "gravity" like "light" is NOT a homogeneous entity -- but rather a panoply of particles at various sizes and speeds. All these particles are, for the most part, below our ability to sense or measure directly. Indirectly, we measure "gravity" when the sum of the infinitesimals, as in Zeno's paradox, results in real-world action.
15 October 2005 Note: I have come to realize that there must be the equivalent of "jet streams" in open space. Meteor showers, for example, are streams from other star systems where SPUE has coalesced not only from SPUE into light, but also into matter and asteroids (which means, by the way, "star rocks" from the roots as "disaster" which means "bad stars.") The same SPUE stream from the center of the Milky Way galaxy becomes apparent every December when we are at the apex of the ellipsoid envelope of our sun's system. This is not only light from the 13th Zodiac (Ophiuchus) system, but also in the form of a stream of Helium (He). (See NASA page on Breeze from the Stars)
-- Also, by this time I am worried about possible misinterpretations arising from the "atmosphere" analogy given above. Because of the stratified layers of air atoms, there exists a differential which a helium balloon can detect and float accordingly. The SPUE field, however, is UNIFORM outside of the influence of any body or system.
In the absence of any other local objects, a
body will be at equilibrium and will remain at rest and not move. To force
an object to move will require an external force (SPUE stream) which will
distribute pressure on each core and be sensed as "inertia" until equilibrium is
reestablished. Equilibrium is achieved under constant force when each
component system (i.e. molecule) is reSHAPED from its otherwise spherical SPUE
field such that the SPUE field towards the incoming force is compresses
resulting in a more ellipsoid shape with an elongated SPUE field "downwind."

As a mathematician, I recognize that measurement is the foundation of science. This SPUE Theory notional approach places the cause of action BELOW our current ability to measure. This is not an "insert miracle here" in the equation -- it is a challenge to pretend the seminal notion is true and devise methods to both measure and harness an energy source we are currently ignoring.
